Thank You Roger Fry and Virginia Woolf
Is it true as I have heard that genius is a kind of fungus?" - Lord Bowen, 1887
Dawn.
Sprung up over night
mushrooms,
fairy rings,
light circles,
magic shimmering truth.
Delicate fungi,
tender dependent parasitic plant.
Take care, hush.
One sharp blow,
genius crumbles into dust.
Fly away.
Take care, hush.
Doubt, dangerous dart of doubt,
skewers the mind,
breaks the bubble.
Dust, dull, dull, dust.
Fly away.
Be prudent host plant.
Guard the grotto.
Attend the birth.
Nurture the suckling.
Celebrate the iridescent.
Cultivate its universe.
