15 Seconds

brainless and drunk
I'm trying not to listen
to the sound
of you
getting sick
in the bathroom
instead
I just watch
the seconds tick by
on the clock
thinking
life is better
when your head
isn't stuck
in someone else's
toilet
when you
can just
lie back
& enjoy
spilling beer
on yourself
and practice saying lines like,
"It's O.K., baby,
don't worry about it,
we'll have sex
tomorrow."
